A Sambalpuri saree is a traditional handwoven ikat or sari (also known as a sadhi) in which the twist and weft are creatively coloured before being wound around. It is produced in the Odisha districts of Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Balangir, and Boudh. The saree is a traditional female piece of clothing in the Indian Subcontinent that consists of a length of unstitched material ranging from four to nine metres that is draped over the body in various styles.
