Shastras state that a Dakshinavarti shankh (conch) plays a significant role in Hindu religious rituals. The Dakshinavarti Shankh symbolises Goddess Laxmi’s outside form. It represents success and notoriety. Worshipping this shankh brings wealth and prosperity into one’s life. Business success results from it. Eye issues are said to be resolved by pouring water towards the Sun from a Dakshinavarti shankh. It’s also said that your home will always be tranquil if you fill this shankh with water and keep it next to your bed at night. Conches come in a wide range of varieties. Two of these are regarded as being particularly significant. Vamavarti shankh and Dakshinavarti shankh are the two varieties. Vamavarti shankh is open on the left side. On the other hand, Dakshinavarti shankh is open on the right side. In Tantra Shastra, Dakshinavarti shankh is considered to be more important than Vamavarti shankh. Dakshinavarti shankh has a closed mouth and therefore, it is only worshiped and does not emit any sound.
